  3. is the ultimate document of Black Ace's art. Here are all but one of the tracks from his 8/14/60 and 9/10/60 Arhoolie recording sessions, as well as all 6 of his pre-war Decca sides from 2/15/ I assume the 1 track was omitted because it was a giant cluster$#^@ since /5(9).

  5. ACE LP AN ACE ALBUM ABC Records # Album includes HOW LONG, SNIFFIN ABOUT, ROCK AND ROLL RUNAWAY and more. Still has its original custom inner sleeve. COVER: EX - (EXCELLENT MINUS): Very nice condition. A small amount of surface wear, or a couple of small flaws like minor corner dings or very light creasing, but still top notch.

  7. The only full album from Johnny Ace – a key figure in the Memphis scene of the 50s, and one of the first great casualties of rock and roll! Johnny was one of the first singers to record for the legendary Duke label, and worked in a mode that helped transform the smoother style of the west coast postwar R&B singers into a rougher, rawer mode that would pave the way for Memphis soul in years.
  8. Soulful sounds from Black Pumas – a collaboration between singer Eric Burton and the great Adrian Quesada – the latter an instrumentalist and producer that you'll know from a variety of different funky projects over the years! This set might well be Adrian's ticket to the big time – as Burton's a singer with a very strong range, and great crossover potential – echoing Al Green one.
